Once upon a time, in a distant village, there lived a little duckling. Its name was Little Dewy. Little Dewy was different from the other ducklings. Its feathers were much paler, and its wings were slightly smaller than the others.
One day, Little Dewy went for a walk to the river with its mother. The other ducklings started swimming in the cool waters of the river, but Little Dewy stayed away from the water. Its mother approached curiously and asked, “Little Dewy, why are you staying away from the water?”
Little Dewy replied sadly, “Mom, my feathers are different from the other ducklings. Theirs are shiny and beautiful, while mine are pale and dull. I’m staying away from the water because I think nobody will love me.”
Its mother looked at it sadly and said, “Little Dewy, you are very precious to me, and your feathers make you special. Your differences make you more beautiful and unique than others. When you find the beauty within yourself, you will learn to love yourself, and others will love you too.”
Little Dewy listened to its mother’s words and decided to find the beauty within itself. It returned to the river and entered the water with the other ducklings. Now, it had confidence, and all the ducks accepted its differences.
When Little Dewy realized its uniqueness, it happily swam in the river waters and played with the other ducklings, enjoying the joys of life.
